W-20
The w-20 is the original Iconic hot rolled Carbon Swiss Steel profile. Dating back to the 1920’s, this steel profile was the industry standard. We most commonly see them still holding true in old commercial factories and offices. With improved weather stripping and glazing we are able to recreate this iconic look with more practical energy standards. The w-20 profile does not have the increased thickness and strength like the w-40 but with its minimal stiles and rails it still creates very saught after sightlines. Sightline Primarily uses W-20 profiles for interior doors and small accent windows to maximize Glazing.

W-40
w-40- The w-40 is considered the Evolution of the w-20 profile. First introduced in 1995 The w-40 has 17 hot rolled profiles and follows the unmistakable Classic w-20 steel profile. The biggest improvement of the W-40 is the increased Depth allowing steel fenestrations to span larger openings and support double glazing Low-E glass up to a thickness of 27mm. The w-40 is not only used in the field of restoration but also highly sought after in residential architecture for its modern/contemporary sightlines.
